Speech by Mr Burhanov, founder of the political opposition Movement “Erkin O’zbekiston” (Free Uzbekistan), at the 6th Session of the Warsaw Human Dimension Conference – 2024.

Good morning, colleagues. It is an honor to introduce myself: I am Hasanboy Burkhanov of the political opposition movement “Erkin O’zbekiston.”

The existence of authoritarian states in the post-Soviet region is enabled by Putin’s terrorist regime, which continues to carry out subversive activities in neighboring countries.

Putin’s terrorist regime seeks to revive a mafia-like imperial union within the borders of the former Soviet Union as they existed in 1991. The only thing that can ruin this insidious Kremlin plan is Ukraine’s decisive victory over Russia.

With this in mind:

The political opposition movement Erkin O’zbekiston and the people of Uzbekistan support Ukraine and its territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders!

Our movement and the people of Uzbekistan stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine in their struggle against Russian aggressors.

Ukraine has the right to defend itself, but to do so, it must receive modern long-range weapons from its allies.

The international community must continue to support Ukraine’s efforts to defend and reclaim its territories—until complete victory is achieved!
