For us, this is another opportunity to attract the attention of the Free World and the United States playing a leading role in protecting Human Rights and the unfaltering values ​​of democracy and Freedom of Speech in the World, to the Kremlin’s aggressive policy in Uzbekistan.

Our Movement does not recognize the results of parliamentary elections totally refuting them, we consider them having absolutely no legitimacy, dishonest, non-transparent, as the following flaws and defects were detected:

1. The complete absence of independent opposition parties on them.

2. The lack of independent candidates.

3. Record-low voters turnout, since according to our personal, estimates of independent experts and according to a number of observers, about 8 million Uzbek citizens with voting rights are outside the country.

4. The 71% voter turnout declared by Mirziyoyev’s regime is a bold lie. According to our calculations and the opinion of civil society activists in Uzbekistan, the turnout of voters for the elections was no more than 40% of the total number of voters.

We do not recognize these elections and will continue to seek a return to Uzbekistan under international guarantees and the participation of our Opposition Political Movement “Erkin O’zbekiston” in the Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan as a young independent state is experiencing the most critical and dangerous moment in its recent history. Beijing and Moscow are trying to deprive the country of sovereignty by competing in that effort between each other.

Kremlin is trying to drag our country into the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and subjugate it under the full control of Putin. The economy and industry of Uzbekistan are gradually coming under the control of the Kremlin and its criminal oligarchs close to Vladimir Putin.

Russia has actually strengthened its control and influence over the law enforcement structures of Uzbekistan, in particular over the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the State Security Service, and the National Guard.

Uzbekistan will no longer be able to defend its independence from Russia and China without the full and total support of the USA and the World Community.

We urge the United States to fully support healthy political forces and an independent political opposition, civic activists, independent journalists, bloggers and all free citizens of Uzbekistan who resist the creeping occupation of the Kremlin and China in the region and fight for the values ​​of Democracy, Freedom of Speech, resisting corruption and injustice.

Mister Secretary of State Pompeo, we are convinced that during your upcoming meeting with Mirziyaev, the following questions should be raised and discussed:

1. Rehabilitation of all victims of political repression in Uzbekistan.

2. Actual Improvements in the situation of freedom of speech and human rights in the country.

3. Under the guarantees of US and EU security, the return of the Opposition Political Movement “Erkin O’zbekiston” to Uzbekistan, participation in the elections and political life are the right given to all Uzbek nationals were born in Uzbekistan, we have the opportunity to participate in the political life of the country.
