An anniversary concert of Nikolai Rastorguev and the Russian rock band ‘Lyube’ is scheduled for 20 September 2024 at the Friendship of Peoples Palace in Tashkent. Tickets for the concert are already on sale. The concert is being organised by Tashkent resident Igor Iosis and the Moscow-based concert agency “MSM Group“.
The political opposition movement Erkin O’zbekiston considers the performance of Nikolai Rastorguev and the Russian rock band ‘Lyube’ in Uzbekistan unacceptable because they are the Kremlin’s mouthpiece, promoting the hateful policies of Putin’s regime.
Rastorguev and the ‘Lyube’ band not only openly support Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine and the genocide of the Ukrainian people, but also finance terrorist groups in eastern Ukraine. They are regular participants in large rally-concerts timed to celebrate the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation.
On 6 October 2022, the European Union placed Nikolai Rastorguev on the sanctions list for actions aimed at undermining the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine, among a number of legal entities and individuals of the Russian Federation.
On 2 February 2023, Nikolai Rastorguev, among a number of Russian entities and individuals, was placed on the Canadian authorities’ sanctions list for disseminating Russian disinformation and propaganda. Since 24 February 2024, the leader the ‘Lyube’ band is also under sanctions of the Australian authorities.
The political opposition movement Erkin O’zbekiston calls on citizens of Uzbekistan to boycott the concert of Nikolai Rastorguev and the band ‘Lyube’ in Tashkent! The doors of Uzbekistan should be locked tight for Nikolai Rastorguev and the band ‘Lyube’, who use cultural diplomacy to promote Nazism, extremism and terrorism.
Dear Uzbeks, if you buy tickets to the concert of the Kremlin’s mouthpiece Nikolai Rastorguev, it means, you are finance terrorist groups in Eastern Ukraine; thus you become unwitting participants in the destruction of the people of Ukraine.
Dear friends, let each and every of us make all possible efforts to stop the Z-concert of Putin’s artists planned for September 20 this year in Tashkent!
